How do I know I'm getting a
quality performer?
Robert & Sara have done more than just reviewed videos of these
acts. They've seen their shows live and have worked with them personally
on previous events. These performers demonstrate the utmost professionalism.
They are easy to work with, reliable and they deliver fantastic
shows.
Are there any mistakes I should try to avoid
when booking entertainment?
Absolutely! The biggest mistake you can make is
choosing on price alone. As an example, you'll find many performers
who claim to be professionals. They charge $80 or so to do magic
for your child's party, or maybe they'll charge your corporation
$100 to, "entertain" your corporate VIPs. Save your money.
At best they're hobbyists who have no where near the level of experience
our artists have. At worst, well, you get the idea.
If you want high quality entertainment be sure you're actually dealing
with a full-time professional. All of our artists derive their livings
from being entertainers.
That means they pay their mortgage, feed their families and pay
their bills being artists. They wouldn't be able to do that if they
weren't the very best at what they do.
How much should I expect to pay
for a professional entertainer?
That all depends on what type of act you're booking. The prices
below are not official quotes for our acts but are a guideline of
what a quality professional entertainer may charge.
Corporate Shows
Strolling entertainers: $150.00 - $350.00 (per hour)
Shows: $750.00 - $10,000.00
Plus travel & accommodations
Campus Activities
Isolated dates $1,200.00 - $2,000.00
3 of 5: $1,000.00 - $1,850.00
5 of 7 : $825.00 - $1,500.00
Children's Shows
Birthday Shows: $150.00 - $425.00 (per show or package)
Prices that are substantially higher than
these may be overkill. Likewise prices far under these may raise
a red flag as to the quality you may expect.
What should I look for while researching entertainment?
The most important thing is to find a performer who
is a full-time professional. A corporate banquet show is so much
more than just a show. Full-time performers have the experience
to know how to deliver a great show and avoid the little pitfalls
that you may not think about.
Are you insured?
Yes. Robert Smith Presents, LLC. carries a general liability insurance
policy that is in affect when Robert Smith is performing at an event.
Our performers are independent contractors and therefore may carry
their own policies.
I'd like to sign a performance agreement.
Is that possible?
Yes! You need peace of mind as much as the artists do. Our contracts
are not complicated legal documents. They're not loaded with confusing
legal jargon, so you don't need to be worried about that.
Our agreements simply spell out the terms of the show such as start
times, location, fee information, cancelation policy etc. They protect
our agency and artists as well as you, the client.
Do you require a deposit?
Any show packages above $500.00 require a 50% deposit.
What forms of payment do you accept?
At the current time we accept cash and checks.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations within 30 days of the scheduled show date will result
in forfeiture of the deposit. Cancellations within 14 days of the
show will result in payment due in full.
